The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR and AED course is a credentialed course specially designed to train those responsible for children's health in meeting state-specific requirements. This course is backed by comprehensive state-by-state research, and is formatted to allow instructors to customize it to include all topics required. Course modules cover CPR, AED, first-aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, environmental emergencies, and optional topics.

This is the course to choose for efficient, effective training of:

Education and child-care professionals
Recreation and other community program staff
New parents, guardians, and other caretakers.

This course also serves as Part 1 of the California Child Care 15 hour Course as required training for all Childcare facilities within the State of California. It is a requirement for obtaining and maintaining licensing.
Part 2 of the California Child Care 15 hour Course is the CA Childcare Preventative Health and Safety Course and must be registered for seperately. Part 1 and 2 do not have to be taken in any specific order but must be completed within 30 days of each other if applying for a new childcare license.

The American Heart Association requires students to have the textbook for this course. You will be provided a book for this course!
